Terms of service

Last updated: September 26, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of this website and any purchase from Roofline Kit ("we," "us," "our"). By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

1. Our products

Roofline Kit sells made-to-order holiday roofline lighting kits and related accessories. Kits are built from the measurements you give us. Product photos are examples; bulb color and brightness can look slightly different in person and on your screen.

2. Your measurements

You are responsible for the measurements you enter. We review every order before we cut and will contact you if something looks wrong, but our review is a courtesy and does not guarantee your measurements are correct. Every kit includes a 5% length buffer. We are not responsible for a kit that does not fit because of measurements you provided.

3. Orders, pricing and payment

Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and may change at any time before you order. We may refuse or cancel any order, including for pricing errors, suspected fraud, or measurements we cannot verify; if we cancel, we refund you in full. Applicable sales tax is added at checkout. Payment is due when you order.

4. Shipping

We ship within the United States only. Ship times are estimates, not guarantees. Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier delivers your order. See our Shipping Policy for details and holiday cutoff dates.

5. All sales final

All sales are final. We do not accept returns or give refunds on kits or accessories. You may change or cancel an order at no charge until we start cutting it. Damaged or defective items are replaced, not refunded, as described in our Refund Policy.

6. Safe installation

Hanging lights involves ladders, roofs and electricity. You are solely responsible for installing, using and removing your lights safely and for following all product instructions, local codes and HOA rules. Use outdoor-rated, GFCI-protected outlets, do not overload circuits, keep connections off the ground and out of standing water, and never work on a wet or icy roof. If you are not comfortable working at height, hire a professional. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for injury or property damage arising from installation or use.

7. Warranty

We warrant that your kit will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the season of purchase; our only obligation under this warranty is to repair or replace defective parts. Except as stated here, products are provided "as is" and we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a product or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid for that product, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.

9. Website content

All content on this site, including the kit builder, text and images, belongs to Roofline Kit and may not be copied or reused without permission. Estimates from the kit builder are for convenience; your final price is shown at checkout.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Baltimore County, Maryland.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time by posting a new version on this page. The version in effect when you place an order applies to that order.
